1. Involving a vehicle registered In the territory of the EEA, Switzerland, Andorra or Croatia.
Note down:
- the exact date and place of the event,
- the registration number of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the country of registration of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the make and model of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- if possible, the number of the insurance policy and the name of the company with which the perpetrator’s vehicle is insured.
Call the police or draw up, together with the perpetrator, a statement of the circumstances of the event
(pick up a Joint Notification of Loss printed form).
If you know with which company the perpetrator’s vehicle is insured, check in the correspondent search engine
whether the said company has a nominated correspondent in the territory of Poland.
If yes, present your claims to his local unit closest to your place of residence.
In case you do not find any correspondent of the company with which the perpetrator is insured please contact the nearest branch office of the
PZU S.A. or the TUiR Warta S.A. and present your claim to one of those insurance undertakings,
which perform the function of agent to the PMIB.
In case you do not know with which company the vehicle of the perpetrator of the event has been insured please contact the nearest branch office of the
PZU S.A. or the TUiR Warta S.A.
and present your claim to one of those insurance undertakings.
On the strength of agreements concluded with the PMIB those companies will notify us of the claim and perform a survey and assessment of the loss of or damage to your vehicle.

2. Involving a vehicle the driver of which has held a Green Card.
Note down:
- the exact date and place of the event,
- the registration number of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the country of registration of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the make and model of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the full number of the Green Card and its validity period,
- the name of the insurance undertaking which has issued the Green Card
Call the police or draw up, together with the perpetrator, a statement of the circumstances of the event
(pick up a Joint Notification of Loss printed form).
Check in the correspondent search engine
whether the company which has issued the Green Card for the perpetrator’s vehicle has a nominated
correspondent in the territory of Poland. If yes, present your claims to his local unit closest to your place of residence.
In case you do not find any correspondent of the company with which the perpetrator is insured please contact the nearest branch office of the
PZU S.A. or the TUiR Warta S.A. and present your claim to one of those insurance undertakings,
which perform the function of agent to the PMIB.

3. Involving a vehicle the driver of which has held border insurance.
Note down:
- the exact date and place of the event,
- the registration number of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the make and model of the perpetrator’s vehicle,
- the full number of the border insurance and its period of validity,
- the name of the insurance undertaking which has issued the border insurance.
Call the police or draw up, together with the perpetrator, a statement of the circumstances of the event
(pick up a Joint Notification of Loss printed form).
For settlement of the claim please contact the insurance undertaking which has issued the border insurance policy.
If the border insurance is not valid, the Insurance Guarantee Fund should be contacted.
