Notice of loss is received by the insurance company, which acts for and on behalf of the Polish Motor Insurers' Bureau (PBUK).
The insurance company is responsible for accepting the damage report drawn up on this form, carrying out an examination of the vehicle and/or other damaged property, determining the extent of the damage and forwarding the documentation to PBUK.
The technical assessment (calculation of repair costs) serves only to document the extent of the damage and does not determine the amount of compensation. Acceptance of this notification does not imply acceptance of liability for the damage.
Determination of civil liability and the amount of compensation due will be possible at a later stage of the compensation procedure, carried out by the entity competent to liquidate the damage, designated by PBUK.
NOTE: The "Notice of Damage" form is used to exclusively to report damage that has occurred on the territory of the Republic of Poland.
To send enquiries to the PBUK about claims representative in the framework of the EU's Fourth Communication Directive serves to another form, which can be sent from the PBUK website. This form is intended exclusively for victims and beneficiaries .
