A claims representative is a representative of an insurance company conducting business in the territory of the Republic of Poland or another Member State of the European Union in the field of third-party liability insurance for motor vehicle owners, with the exception of carrier's third-party liability, authorized in a Member State of the European Union other than the country of the seat of the insurance company in accordance with the law of the country in which he is established, at least to perform legal acts necessary to pay or refuse to pay compensation on behalf of and for the account of the represented insurance company.
